Now the old folk have all calmed down
Matron has lost her constant frown
In fact, she almost smiled today
But maybe that's because she got her pay
Perhaps she'll treat us to a night on the town

We're in luck the night outs on
Best glad rags we all must don
Dot's skirt looks far too short

There are sections that require an account that has been manually authorised by me to see but sections like General and Chat ard entirely public. Not that any pensioners seem to find them and join us unfortunately.

Any search for a pensioners forum will simply find the other place as it has been there almost a couple of decades before us. Then come umpteen council forums because they are council's.

We used to be top here but I'm uncertain if we still are

https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=Friendly+pensioner+forum&hl=en

The problem is nobody searches for that phrase

Oh dear.
This summer must be very difficult for the farmers,  garden centres and growers, plus people with livestock too, no doubt.
I wish those posh idiots wouldn't hammer the breath out of those poor horses at Newmarket, too. Disgusting.

They are forecasting even hotter Frid, Sat & Sunday,  so no doubt more areas will implement a ban soon, too.

Yes, I have heard that there are water shortages in God's County.
We are fortunate to live over t'Pennines in inferior Lancashire... for now.

Moaning about threads going off topic.. They always have..
Only a handful on here and still we get them what gripe..
Lovely forum... A place to come to when we need to..
One day Mark will 'pull the plug' and we will all go down the drain..

I really do hope not., Scrumpy.
There are some good people here, and I would miss you all.

Quote from: klondike on Yesterday at 07:36:53 PMI'm keeping a careful eye for any new member that may turn up with a gov.uk or police.uk email....

My sig could be worth 6 months. Come to think of it if they made it November to April it might be ok.
In all seriousness, I am hoping that the protections you have put in place on this forum will protect us all.

Quote from: Mups on Yesterday at 11:27:05 AMVery warm here too.  I've got all the blinds down in the kitchen and an electric fan blowing.
It's going to be even worse at the weekend so they say.
Some areas are going to implement hose pipe pans too,  I heard.

I have just packed my Ocado order away before the Ice Cream melted, and am trying to muster some enthusiasm for pushing the hoover around . . . sometime .
Hosepipe ban here in South Yorks from tomorrow.
