I've found it common for Chinese sellers to include a small gift with their stuff.

I've only rarely bought direct from the US but bought two items at different times from an American company. Both orders included one of these oversized Polo mints. I think all US food comes oversized as standard.

Quote from: Mups on Yesterday at 10:51:43 AMI just give my postman a tip at Christmas,  and the paper boy.

I rarely go anywhere much that requires tips during the year.
And me, with a Christmas card.
I had an odd one about tipping about a month ago, I was looking at ordering some stuff online from a clothing retailer at the time I wasn't aware that the retailer was in China, so picked what I wanted and went to payment and there was the total amount due and a small box asking what percentage tip I would like to add!
I didn't complete the order, how bloody cheeky! What was I supposed to be tipping for?

Mine was always open on a Sunday it was a military range and only open on that day for our club firing full bore pistol. All three of my handguns were reluctantly handed into the plod when they were banned. I kept the shotgun a much better weapon considering my eyesight 😳

Somehow, this does not surprise me.
It seems that either the people in charge of running this country have given up on supporting the law of the land, or perhaps want to encourage it for some strange reason.  Perhaps it has not occurred to them that building more prisons might be a better idea.

It is already clear in our capital city that the Metropolitan Police are not particularly interested in maintaining law and order, and I suppose that the people in overall charge have taken note and decided there is no point in encouraging all of our police services to do their job.

I'm sure that the eventual outcome of this encouragement will be the criminal fraternity not only rejoicing, but also increasing in numbers.

Quote from: klondike on Today at 10:51:55 AMThey are now native Americans.

Apparently Eskimos was considered racist even before the current nonsense and they were re-christened (is that racist?) Inuit. All a complete mystery to me.

There seem to be many people, especially in this country, who seem to enjoy being 'offended' with almost anything which crosses their little minds.  It is a national pastime.
