I give up.. Old dogs and new tricks.. and I'm not the most intuitive..
I'll try again but I'm not the best of tutors.

All the bbcode buttons just place an opening and closing tag in the post textbox. You can then insert the link or text you want formatted between them so..
[Opening bbcode tag]the link or text you want formatting goes here[Closing bbcode tag]

On touchscreens positioning the cursor between the tags can be tricky for those with fat fingers so an alternative may be used

Paste your link into the posting textbox. Highlight that text using either finger or with the mouse then click the required button.

In the case of a link it is not necessary to go beyond pasting it as it will be made clickable by the use of magic.

If you don't know how to highlight text..

If is more efficient why be concerned? Can't see why they dropped the rev counter. I must admit that in an automatic it is probably pretty irrelevant and can't say I used in over much in my previous manual diesel although on a couple of occasions at least a glance told me that for some reason I was still in third and not fifth   [1160]

It gets more and more idiotic. The man trusted to run the country can't even tell for himself if his own rules are being broken? Incredible

It reminds me of the Mother on school sports day when her beloved Timothy doesn't win a sticker for wining a race..

You really are stupid.. I feel that you have fallen by your own sword..
'Nobody told me it was wrong'!!!  Was his answer to a 'party' at No Ten.

This leader who told us what was WRONG and RIGHT forgot to tell himself..  :nooo: that really does merit a bang on the head.

I have now passed 2,000 miles in the new hybrid. So far, so good, but it does seem odd to have a car without a revcounter, a temperature gauge, nor a battery indicator. Presumable one of the clever messages will come up should there be a problem, like the one that appears when I switch off 'thanks for driving a hybrid'. Still trying to find a means of replying 'as if I had any bloody choice!'
