I agree with Scrumpy! The picture isn't clear.

As drawn none of the cups can get anything through the pipes. We have to work out which one the leaks will drip into and that is almost certainly 2

as it is the only one not 'served' by a non-functioning feed, seems reasonably logical.

Tea would run down the outside of the pipe from the leak and drip from where it angles back to the left. It's a puzzle and nothing in the drawaing is accidental.

oh, and depending on the flow rate, capillary action might make the overflowing tea 'stick' to the tube as it angles back

I still go for 6.. The stopping points in 5 and 3 will take the water level up to 6.. and will continue to run down 6 before even reaching the 3 over flow..
