What are you good at?

My beautiful and charming wife does have a way of putting things into drawers where they don't really fit. I've tried to explain that they are not the same as handbags that expand to accommodate whatever is required to go in them.

I can't really say I am good at anything much,    but many years ago I did a Wood carving course at night school.
I enjoyed that, and later on,  I  wish I had pursued it.
I have always wanted to try my hand at Topiary too.

Yep.  It's difficult pinning down what one might have been good at if one had the time, money and resources.

I always found maths a bit easier than other subjects, so went for the easy option of making a career from that.

But "I wish" I had had the willpower to try harder at a load more things which may have added strings to my bow and made a more varied life.

Ah well, maybe when I'm reincarnated eh?

Fixing stuff. Just use a credit card and jobs-a-goodun.

Can you fix my overdraft?

I was good at wallpapering, I'd watch my Dad when I was a kid so I liked matching patterns up.  Can't get up a ladder now of course !
I'm also good at driving, (okay boys deep breath.)  My ex - husband rarely gave me credit for anything, but he did say I was a good driver.  Best subjects, English and French, worst subjects Maths and Maths.

I've always had a strong work ethic, instilled by my parents.  I've volunteered in different ways since I retired.  Better than doing housework! 😖 I wish I'd had a better education, I really messed up, so  I'm glad my kids took opportunities.  Really proud of what they've done.   I've been quite good at being a granny I think, we've had some fun!
Its not how old you are, but how you are old. 💖

I am good at drawing and painting .
Good with horses and animals generally.
Not too bad with foreign languages .

JBR

I used to enjoy stained glass work.  We now have four stained glass lamp shades: two hanging from ceilings and two on standard lamps, plus two pairs of small candle holders.
I haven't done this for a long time now, though I still have the necessary gear and various sheets of stained glass.

I always fancied that JB, at the time the classes were too expensive. Next best thing those Tiffany lamps which I love  :upvote:

I wanted to get into that too.  Mostly because I wanted to make terraria.

Wish I had.  Ho hum.
