Its not how old you are, but how you are old. 💖

My home internet was stuffed.
I'm having to use the Vodafone router which doesn't support a lot of the features I was using.
It will not accept my existing WiFi SSIDs (names) and passwords so lots of stuff (eg doorbell, a wifi cctv camera, several alexas) needs setting up again and it's a pain.

I was using my own router which has been working for years and it just suddenly stopped connecting to Vodafone. It may have a fault but I think it must be Vodafone blocking third party routers because all the rest of it was working fine.

I hope you can get to the bottom of this problem, Klon.  Whether it is the router, or Vodaphone themselves, there will be a means of overcoming the problem even, if necessary, leaving Vodaphone and using a different company.  Of course, there will probably be a lot to do, so good luck.

I'm using their router. It does work but didn't have a lot of the features I was using. I can set up a raspberry pi to do some of the things if I think I need to. I'm using a WiFi extender with my old ssids on and a lot of the WiFi kit is working. I'll probably have to setup some things again. I need to get on and set up the new server as the bits and bobs at home aren't essential just nice to have.

I thought that too when the damned thing stopped working.

As fascinating as this is, zzzz, I think we ought to discuss...

The six-axle bi-mode Class 99 locomotives are similar to the EURODUAL but adapted to the British loading gauge and specifications. They boast an outstanding tractive effort of up to 500 kN, high hauling capability and performance and reach speeds of up to 120 km/h. They represent a new generation of locomotives that offer rail operators many economic and environmental benefits providing further momentum to facilitate modal shift from road to rail.

It's amazing how so many of the ill informed think just that. Somebody else tried to tell me that just the other day. I would have put him right but I was in too much of a rush.
