Falklands War Veteran Simon Weston is outraged that pro-Gaza activists are selling pseudo Palestine 'poppies 'ahead of Remembrance Day - and calls on the Government to intervene .
"I believe they should stop anybody impinging on the commemoration of sacrifice for a greater peace."

"It's disgraceful, it's appalling but it's not only that it's DISRESPECTFUL."

Not even the poppy is safe .

I've just been reading about the man who designed this 'poppy'  AN NHS doctor, Abdul Qader Ismail has been unmasked as the designer of the "Palestine poppy" which has sparked fury from veterans.

Dr Ismail, from Birmingham penned a series of books that cover subjects including stoning.

He wrote in one: "These punishments are meant to serve as a deterrent... and any excuse is found not to apply them."

I saw that too Alex.  Appalling.
Its not how old you are, but how you are old. 💖

Give him his due.  'Harsh' punishments do serve as a deterrent.  It stands to reason.
I remember when hanging was abolished (in this country) the murder rate increased.

On the certain provision of proof beyond any doubt of responsibility, harsh punishments would serve as a deterrent in my opinion.

This isn't the first time the poppy has been used by a pressure group, I'm sure I have come across white poppies and purple poppies in the past.

Just listened to a Telegraph podcast and it seems that this fine medic, upholder of the Hypocratic Oath, put on social media that the actions of Oct 7th were justified and within the bounds of acceptability and international law.

Think he needs to have his medical licence reviewed as a matter of urgency.

Purple  poopies are for the innocent animals that were killed in the war .
