From the BBC

The public will be able to watch the execution of a former US Army major by firing squad, US Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth has said.
A Defense Department official told the BBC the execution of Nidal Hasan, who shot dead 13 unarmed US soldiers at Fort Hood in 2009, would be livestreamed.
It is believed it would be the first public execution in the US in almost a century. The decision to livestream it is "unprecedented in the modern era" and "on uncertain legal terrain," said John Mills, a lawyer who works with inmates sentenced to death.
"People need to understand that there's serious consequences for these types of things," said Hegseth.
The UN human rights office told AFP that livestreaming it would be "tantamount to a public execution and would breach the absolute prohibition of torture".
Democratic Senator Chris Murphy told CNN that the idea was "disgusting" and reminiscent of executions carried out by the Islamic State group.

Anyone know which channel?

Bit ghoulish isn't it?  Will his family be asking for filming rights and some kind of financial renumeration?
It's not something I'd watch ... it was enough watching Tom & Jerry knocking hell out of each other.

His parents are Palestinian and he shouted the well known terrorist cry of Allahu Akbar as he gunned down unarmed soldiers.  But I don't think his execution should be televised, firstly because only North Korea, Saudi and Iran stage public executions, (there may be more) but we in the west are better than that..  Secondly this public execution will only make him a martyr in the eyes of muslims all over the world.

Labour will try to find a way of blocking this, so even if we wanted to see it, which personally I don't, we won't be able to.

It shouldn't be for public viewing IMO.  Enough that they still have the death penalty.
Its not how old you are, but how you are old. 💖

Trump will put the video on Truth Social I suppose. If it supports videos as I've never looked.

The guy is a paraplegic and in a wheelchair...he will be wheeled out accompanied by some cheerleaders and a marching band. There will be a NASA style countdown for the release of the rounds. It's the American Way!

That surprised me - even Vance is criticising it. This sort of thing stopped in the century before last in the civilised world.
