I've just read that TalkTalk is about to go bust !   Just when I was thinking of swapping

Had a read of the news and it looks like you had a lucky escape if you were  considering going with them.

If they do go under and have to just cease operations anybody with them could lose their services for quite a while.

I'm with them Klondy, I was thinking of changing to Virgin.

My advice would be to get out quick to the best deal you can find. At least that's what I'd do. The problem is there is some bureaucracy involved in changing over your line to somebody else. They may get that sorted out as there are well over a million domestic customers from what I read but even when electric companies went bust it took an age before you were free to chose. If you have fibre in your area that is independent of the phone line. I haven't had any landline for years now


If the worst comes to the worst you should be able to get a short term mobile based Internet.

There is even Starlink but last I saw of that it was around, £50 a month with upfront costs.

These days so much is done over the internet not having it is likely to be a major PITA
