What is Earl Spencer up to, do you think?

Why is he suddenly stirring up all the bad feelings about Charles/Diana now,  after nearly 30 years?

If he has still got all this stuff on his chest,  why on earth wait all these years to go on telly and suddenly announce it?
Could it be just to flog more copies of his book,  but if so,  the question still remains as to why wait 30 years?

I don't get it . . .

Got to be something to do with Harry returning. What though I have no idea as I don't read royal stuff beyond seeing the headlines.

Ahh probably is the book then. The headlines are talking about some interview he gave about claims in it.

He's been divorced three times, perhaps he's feeling the pinch ?

Well that thought crossed my mind too, Alex.
Most things seem to be about money these days.
It's the 30 yr bit I can fathom out.

He's skint.. They reckon he will make a fortune on the sales of his book..
Thirty year wait to write it.. I don't believe what he is saying.. Why wait so long!!
Could it be that he respected our Queen and didn't want to disrespect the royals..
Or
Could it be that Harry has set a pattern..
And he knows that the time to do it is now.. when the royals are at their least popular..
Bloody greedy.. the lot of them..
Psst! I heard a whisper that he and his sister were not even speaking ...
I am not a keen Diana fan.. Far too innocent 😇
She would be writing a few books if she were around...
Don't ask me.. I know nuffink..

It amazed me how she changed in the press from royal slapper to People's Princess overnight.

She knew how to play act.. Eyes downcast.. The hard done by look.. The people of that time fell for it..
Don't ask me.. I know nuffink..

I am no great supporter of King Charlie-boy, but I detest Harry and his so-called wife.
I'd be much happier if Charlie resigned, or popped his clogs, and was replaced by William who, I suspect, would have nothing to do with Harry and would do much more to unify the people of this country compared to his dad.

Charles is unlikely to be challenging his mum in the age stakes imo. I doubt he'd step down anyway. If he went gaga then William would have to handle the actual kinging bit opening parliament and riding round Horseguards every so often I suppose,

Mups

The book is on sale from next Tuesday.

Surely if it is full of bad things about Charles,  couldn't that be classed as 'slanderous?'

muddy

It couldn't be slanderous as that is the spoken word it could be libellous but only if it is proven to be untrue difficult to prove either way .The king is hardly likely to enter into battle with Earl Spencer and only the two men know the truth especially as it's nearly30 years ago.

The shadow of Diana is long.

Perhaps the only that Charles can do then, is keep silent.
Whatever he says,  whether it be to deny everything or agree with everything,  it will only inflame the situation because people  still  believe what they want to,  regardless.

Not sure what Harry will be feeling about all this though,   especially as he doesn't appear to get on well with his Father in the first place.

I wish people would keep their family disputes within their family.   Family arguments and bad-mouthing each other is not really anything to do with outsiders whatsoever,  but it makes the news, which makes them money.

muddy

He has to write it now if he wants to make money.
When Charles dies it will be too late. He will only hurt his nephew William .
