They are great friends

They also have two things in common .

They are great actors .

Who has not been moved by Legends of the Fall ( Brad Pitt ) or awed by Tom Cruises court scene in A few Good men ?

And you can't but admire a man who does most of his own death defying stunts ( Tom Cruise )

Yet their children have publicly dropped their names .

Maybe they were not the best fathers ?

Being great actors is immaterial,  because it won't make them great at home life or raising kids.
The 'kids'  are all in their 20's and 30's now,  so old enough to make up their own minds.

Also,  they will have grown up seeing what the public and journalists can do to famous people,  and perhaps don't want that for themselves.   I don't blame them.

And then you get the children who use the name of their father knowing that it opens doors..
... thinking they are as good as their father..
Nobody knows what goes on behind closed doors in any home..
Everyone has a story to tell.. or should that be (sell)..!!

I know someone who lives in the village near them and says they often ride their bikes through the village as a family .
Of course the children are older now and it appears that only one the eldest boy who has married a billionaires daughter is estranged .

It's quite hard to force kids to do something they don't want to do .
Ie go in a family bike ride 
And the Beckham children all seem to be fine except the eldest .
Who has swapped his multimillionaire family lifestyle  for his billionaire wife lifestyle 
The Beckhams have given their children a privileged lifestyle and seem like doting parents .
I have never heard anything bad about them .
