They are now saying that criminal hackers will be able to  hit bank accounts within the next three months


Is all the technology and advancements in our lives today really doing good, I wonder?
For every new technical thing that is invented,  criminals seem to quickly find a way to outwit it and use it for their own benefit.


Here are just 3 examples,  but there are many more.

• Voice Cloning & Deepfakes: Scammers use generative AI to clone the voices of family members or company executives. This allows them to execute highly convincing "kidnapping" scams or authorize multi-million-dollar wire transfers.
• Automated Social Engineering: AI language models allow international hackers to write flawless, grammatically correct phishing emails in dozens of languages, eliminating the obvious spelling errors that used to give scams away. ]
• Synthetic Identity Fraud: Fraudsters use AI to create realistic fake IDs, faces, and documents to bypass traditional "Know Your Customer" (KYC) security checks at digital banks.
• Now I see in todays newspaper that they are predicting that Hackers 'will hit banks in 3 months.'
• It goes on to say that  cyber-criminals are just 3 months away from being able to use AI to steal from bank accounts.

I can't pretend to understand all this AI business,  but nevertheless,  I have often thought these professional criminals must be every bit as clever as the inventors of all the technology. 

Such a pity they use their clever brains for bad things and personal gain,  instead of good things and helping the world.

You don't need to be overly smart to use public AI. You just  need to tell it clearly just what you want it to do for you. That"s whst it is for. 

What those making it publicly available need to do is ask it to tell them how to make it safe from use by criminals.
