Subscriptions

Subscribe to this first 3 months usually half price or less. Subscribe to that first month free etc. etc. etc. I don't think I could go through a day without seeing such offers. Everybody wants you to subscribe. I subscribe to very little but there have to be people spending £100 or more a month on subscriptions. I'm sure it didn't used to be like this

Did you never subscribe to those "make your own model car/train/boat" mags with a large piece on the intro copy, but getting increasingly small-but-essential bits by issue number 498? 😬😬

I subscribe to a couple of gardening magazines, but that's all.   
I had a very good Doggy one for years,  until they started messing about not sending it, so I cancelled that one and stopped the direct debit in the end.

I don't subscribe to anything anymore... They get too greedy.. and ask for more..
 If I see a person with a collection tin and I want to donate.. then I will..
I  don't feel guilty walking by .. those days are long gone..
 Some charity shops are guilty of this too.. I have seen items (dearer) than the shop price..
When you consider everything is donated by the public and the (workers) do not get paid.. Yet those at the top make a fortune.. for themselves.. Scandalous..

Does anyone pay £5.99 a month for ITV x without the adverts ?   I paid up mainly to watch Nashville and Corrie catch up.  This morning I decided to cancel and switch to Channel 5, I went on to ITV to cancel and they dropped the price to £2.99 a month, so being the sucker that I am, I carried on subscribing.

I don't subscribe to anything anymore, I used to subscribe a days pay to the Regimental Charity which was a requirement on joining the regiment, RNLI ( oooh contentious there Vlad) up to about 2020. Medecins Sans Frontieres because I saw them in action once . Nice people.
I do dislike the chuggers in shopping centres etc, very aggressive young people asking for your bank details to support the charity that employs them

No.  There is little to watch on ITV now in our opinions.  We watch the old Coronation Street every day it is on, but I'm damned if I will pay to avoid the adverts, especially as they are only on for 2 or 3 minutes each time, at least in this programme.

Chuggers don't work for the charities. They work for companies who provide the charities new subscribers I don't know the details but I believe the charities don't see much of  your sub for quite a while as the company obviously takes a fee and the front line chuggers are probably on commission.

True.  I just turn down my hearing aids util they've finished!  It works perfectly.
