Till then I'll opt out and hope I get the time for a deathbed conversion to Catholicism when a last ditch confession cleans up all my previous sins. I may need quite a bit of time though.

I rather like the Norse Gods and their religion, when you die, preferably in battle you go to Valhalla, a bit different from Paradise, no clouds, no harps or white robes. It's a huge log cabin with a roaring fire in the middle where you meet up with all your mates from times past. You get to eat lots of meat so vegans really dip out, and drink lots of mead served by buxom flaxen haired wenches who are very amenable  to your advances. Entertainment is basically lots of fighting with your mates, you can't kill them because they already dead, and you get to do the same thing  every day , eating drinking, wenching, fighting. Sounds a bit like pub I used to go to back in the day

You'll have to be hanging on to your bayonet when the time comes for you to rejoin all of your mates from that pub. Maybe if it had a pool table a cue would do instead at a pinch. Pity they didn't have the time to get all the rules written in a book.

Scrumpy

When I was in Rome with my Italian friend she took me to the convent where she spent her childhood..
She showed me the actual confessional box that she was made to sit in daily and confess all her sins..
Don't ask me.. I know nuffink..

Yesterday on LBC news I was listening to Ali Mirjai talking about this .
He said he was surprised that the Cof E had done this deal .
Common sense speaking from a man who is not a Christian .
Ali Mirjai is a Muslim .

I'm assuming it will be hired out as a mosque too later. Or perhaps the acoustics aren't right for that?  I'm no expert on that.

If I remember rightly I went to St Pauls on a school visit and the only part that is free to visit is the prayer hall. There are numerous other crypts and galleries with admission charges.

Given that St Paul's construction was largely paid for through a tax on coal, one would have thought that it'd at least try to redress the balance by having a few solar panels and wind turbines shoved onto its roof.

Marge and I went to York a couple of weeks ago and went to the Minster.  £8 admission fee.
I remember in the past it was free to enter, but now it's all about money, though I do understand that it is expensive to maintain the building.
We had paid to attend the organ recital that evening (it was packed!), so at least we didn't have to pay an entrance fee as well!

The plans are in for that already. Those raves need a lot of power as will the speakers for the Adhan when that comes along next.

Those solar panels are probably a good idea; they wouldn't be visible from the street anyway.  However, that abortion atop the dome is crap.  It leans as well!

They could do with some 5G masts up there while they're at it.

And a minaret with loud speakers on it.  Plan ahead.

They aren't putting them on the dome. The plan is to convert that into a slowly rotating restaurant and they want to cut out big windows for that.

I think the speakers will be fitted inside the blokes on the vertical wind turbine. Cuts down the length of the power leads to the amp.

With a bit of imagination, they could have the rotating restaurant act as a pulley on cable car stretching right over the Channel to France.  Might as well use renewable energy to facilitate environmentally friendly (and safe) crossings for all and sundry who fancy relocating to the UK.

That'd smash the gangs, by the simple expedient of making them obsolete.
