  I saw an ad yesterday.. I don't watch ads but something made me look up ..
'Come to us.. We have many in our storeroom.. All shapes and sizes.. All colours and quality fabric.. 
 Four seaters... recliners.. and matching foot rests...'

And their boast was !!!... Order now and we will get it to you before CHRISTMAS..

Always been a feature of furniture ads and I suppose in terms of lead times for a suite of furniture it isn't that long really. The stuff takes too much room to store so it will be made to order and it won't be coming air freight assuming like most manufactured things we import it.

I was at a garden centre on Friday.. they were clearing many of the goods on sale make way for Christmas stock... I didn't look...

They're doing the same here too, Scrumps.
It does make me mad because some of us are still gardening,  and we can't buy stuff.  
Only last week I needed some fertiliser and a new bag of compost, but to go elsewhere.
People will be sick of the sight of Christmas by the time we get to November!
