An online claims portal had been due to launch last year – but it was delayed due to a legal challenge by a company called Innsworth, which helped to fund the original case.

Innsworth is a business that puts up money to support big legal claims in return for a share of any winnings. But in this case, it wasn't happy with how the settlement funds were allocated, so it filed a type of legal claim known as judicial review to try and get a bigger cut.

That claim was dismissed by the High Court in June 2026, and the Tribunal subsequently authorised a payment of just over £63 million to Innsworth on 31 July 2026 – bringing the dispute to an end.
