Media are reporting that Jason Arday the fake professor has been found dead. age 47. He didn't look very well.

Mups

Sorry,  but I've never heard of him.

One of his achievements was to be appointed as a very young professor of sociology at Cambridge University for which he was not qualified, and stood accused of plagiarism. He was exposed after three years in the chair by an investigative journalist, after which he resigned.

He was only 41 .

So sad.. Such a young man..
Don't ask me.. I know nuffink..

Alex

I hadn't heard of him until this week.   Sad he died so young, but I wonder why now  ? all had been revealed, he'd been cleared by John Moore's of any wrongdoing too.     I guess some people can take the flack and others can't.

Vlad

I am surprised that he gave up, anybody that can run six marathons with a broken must have been tough.

It's always sad when someone is in such despair they feel they have to end their own life .
Especially when they are young .
The family never get over it , they always think they could have stopped it in some way .
They can't when someone is determined to end it all they will do it becaue they are not in their right mind
I don't know the whole story of Jason Arday
I know he was autistic .
His  meteoric rise as an academic was difficult to understand .
( he didn't learn to read until he was about 18)
He was the youngest black professor at Cambridge .
Some opinion blame the DEI movement who raised him to a position that he was unable to fulfil.

Andy Burnham has asked for ' a moment of reflection ' as he issues a statement on Jason Arday .
I wonder why he didn't ask for one for Anne Widdecombe  whose funeral was a few days ago .
Or maybe he should reflect on the grief of Andrew Harpers mother and family upon who his government  is about to inflict more pain as they see his smirking killers walk free.
