To the bin men who have to collect our waste during this terrible heatwave..
I bet there are some rank old bins out there..
Maggots..flies.. rats..
I keep my bins clean.. A bit of disinfectant can go a long way..
I would hate to do their job..
We have a good lot here.. Always friendly and polite..

My daughter has MS and lives with her husband in a small flat with communal bins. While I was there the other week he showed me a video he'd taken of the food waste bin. He couldn't figure out how to actually send it to me or I'd have been able to gross you all out with it by putting it on Youtube. It wasn't just a few maggots it was heaving with them overflowing down the front to the path.

Mind you,  if it wasn't so damn hot the birds would swoop down and be very grateful for the feast.

I have no biological waste it all goes into my compost bin .
The bins all have black bags and the bin men just wheel them about 2 ft to the grab that heaves them into the truck .
