Things that give our age away.

I have just read of seven things that are supposed to mean we are getting old.

1.  Apparently only older people carry purses and wallets  - the youngsters all pay for stuff with
their phones.    Same  if you are in a shop and produce a debit card.

2. If you have a landline, you're officially old,  too.

3. Only old folks answer their phone by putting it to their ears,  the youngsters use headphones or talk
    into their speakers.

4. Only us oldies watch television and listen to the radio.  Young people stream their shows, and curate
    playlists.

5. If you sign off your texts with your name, that's another giveaway, because the receiver knows who's        sent it as your name pops up.

6. Lastly, there's the trouser issue.  If you wear yours big and baggy then you are young. Straight legged        or similar means we are old  -  let alone elastic waists.

So there we are then.   I am officially  99 yrs old.

1.  Half and half. I have a wrap over phone case CC, Driving licence, etc and a few notes in it. No wallet any more. Most payments by phone app.

2. Landline phone binned years ago. No line or fibre phone number at all now.

3. I use earbuds or headphones for listening to audiobooks so some calls taken on those but mostly it would be the handset, Most personal communications by Whatsapp

4. No live TV. Radio normally only in the car.

5. I Rarely use text, No name used

6. Old,

Good grief Muddy.   You must be a mere spring chicken.
I wouldn't even know how ear buds or headphones work.
Payments by phone app?
I've still got my landline too.
