I a replacing my upright vacuum cleaner for a cordless..

I like my cleaner.. Shark upright.. brilliant..
BUT.. My age has just told me that it is far too heavy to lug up and down the stairs..
So... I have chosen Cordless vacuum cleaner P20..
It isn't the dearest.. or the poshest but being one of the lightest it won over on me...

What vacuum cleaner do you prefer.. Cordless or plug -in...?
Don't ask me.. I know nuffink..

Cordless. I still have an ageing Dyson stick that's like me - past its best so I bought a Shark Power Pro cordless that's good enough for me (my eyesight isn't what it was) and is light and easy to use once you've realised for the umpteenth time that you're not pressing the correct catch to unfold it.

Ours is a Dyson.  A foldable upright which can be shortened into a hand-held option.  Quite simple and several years old.  Fortunately, it is still working perfectly. though it is beginning to look a little tatty.  I'm very pleased that it is still working so well despite its heavy use...
not that we are particularly dirty, of course.

We also have a Dyson, the one that's good for pet hair/fur.
When I was with my husband in the big house it had upstairs in it, I kept a Dyson in the downstairs hall cupboard and my old hoover in the landing cupboard. No bother that way.
Now both the houses are bungalows so only one needed in each house.

My new one has been delivered...
I looked in the box..  :hmm: :hmm:

I'll get all the bits out another time... Does my head in..

A wise decision. Can't rush these things.

A friend recommended the Shark vaccumes to me a while back,  and I bought one.
Best vacuum I've ever had.
Fortunately I live in a bungalow though,  so no lugging it up a flight of stairs.

Scrumps,  you could still hang on to your old one and do like Raven said,  keep one upstairs and one down.

We had a Dyson ( might be still around somewhere .)
But replaced it with a shark cordless .
To date is much better .

The decider for me when I got a replacement was the much better balance the Shark left in my bank account than the Dyson.

My daughter Marnie is taking the upright Shark..
She has a bigger house and is leaving it upstairs for easier cleaning..
I am happy that she is taking it..
I only need one...and the lightweight will suit me better..
I only have one closet downstairs... for coats , shoes ..
