It seems both you ladies are right about Melting Pot.

*    The song "Melting Pot" was originally recorded and made famous in 1969 by the British pop group Blue Mink, featuring shared lead vocals by Roger Cook and Madeline Bel

**   Yes, Boy George did sing "Melting Pot," but it is a cover. The song was originally released in 1969 by the UK pop group Blue Mink.

***    (what do they mean by  'a cover'?)

A cover is exactly that - when somebody records and releases a new version of an earlier song. I don't remember the Boy George version.

GrannyMac

Apologies Scrumpy, I only remember the original by Blue Mink, years before.  It was released in 1969, and as has been said covered by BG.  Here's the original.  I don't think they'd get away with some of the words now!

Its not how old you are, but how you are old. 💖

About the only thing I remember about Boy George are these things...
