It seems to be the popular thing to do now..
Wherever there is a gathering.. event ..or celebration there is the probability of some nutter driving into the crowd.. Usually because it is something their  beliefs.. religion does not agree with..

It's an almost regular thing in Germany, I was at the Breitscheidplatz Christmas market a week before an immigrant drove through and killed many people.   There are bollards at most places now, it may stop vehicles but it won't stop the islamist killers.

I heard part of this on the news today, Scrumps,  and I agree with you, it does seem a popular way of killing now.
I suppose its an easy way to harm a large number of people all in one go,  and then drive off.
