I had never heard of this before

However Northumbria Police ( ?) confirmed it was carrying out the investigation "on behalf of Nottinghamshire Police" into NHS Trust that was handling or more aptly not handling the murderer Valco Calcone .

I've heard of corporate manslaughter, as the wording suggests, it can be found where a company (etc) through its failings or negligence, causes death.

After the Herald of Free Enterprise disaster (1987), P&O Ferries was charged with corporate manslaughter but was acquitted. The offence was codified in 2007.
