They didn't have access to all the stuff online that kids are exposed to nowadays.  There's a storyline in Corrie (I still watch it) about a young girl who's had a stroke because her boyfriend put pressure on her neck when they were having consensual sex.  Seemingly it's a 'thing'.

It's always been a programme that comments on relevant societal issues, but I doubt any teens watch it.

My daughter found a bottle of alcohol in Martha's ( granddaughter) room.. When asked about it she said it belonged to someone else and she was looking after it for them..
Marnie took it away from her and told her that the family will enjoy it over lunch on Sunday..
 We don't know what the children are up to 24/7..
 Nor did our parents know what we were up to.. all those years ago..
