They didn't have access to all the stuff online that kids are exposed to nowadays.  There's a storyline in Corrie (I still watch it) about a young girl who's had a stroke because her boyfriend put pressure on her neck when they were having consensual sex.  Seemingly it's a 'thing'.

It's always been a programme that comments on relevant societal issues, but I doubt any teens watch it.

I bet we would be horrified at half the stuff they probably see.

And I have been watching the Corrie episodes you mentioned too.
