Benefits claimants have been told they can ignore hosepipe bans across the UK, allowing those suffering from conditions including anxiety and depression to continue to water their gardens.

What !

The tax payer doesn't get anxiety and depression wondering how to cope and even must be discriminated  against by a hosepipe ban ?

Thank you for the days, the days you gave me

You also get an hosepipe ban exclusion if you have a fish pond

I can understand an exemption for animal welfare or fish but a general exemption just because you may have anxiety or depression that is totally unfair .
Lots of people get anxiety and depression - aren't these one and the same thing these days ?
They are not exclusive to people on benefits .
We have to have some element of fairness in things .

What a load of shite.. I can fully understand water needed for any animal.

I get well unhappy if I see plants dying because they are so thirsty.. Let's call it depressed...
 I shall water my plants...

You can't tell me that the King and others (up there) watch their gardens die...

Don't ask me.. I know nuffink..

Alex

Well they keep telling us our pension is a ' benefit' so in that case, we can ignore the ban too.

There will be plenty of folks out after dark with a watering can. I'd be one of them. Bedding Plants cost a fortune these days and I'd be keeping them alive no matter what. 👀

I think you will find a watering can is fine, Raven.   It's just hosepipes we mustn't use here.

As for Muddy's post about  using hosepipes if on benefits,   that is so stoopid  I can't believe that's even true?
Have you got a link Muddy?
