Graham Linehan payout

For those who may have not heard of Graham Linehan ( I hadn't until this fracas) he is a comedy writer . He wrote the script for Father Ted .
An Irishman he now lives in the US.
He is very much anti trans in that he tweeted there can be but two sexes man and woman .
For this some pro trans  ex copper reported him and he was arrested on arriving at Heathrow by no less than five fully armed met cops .

What they thought a 58 year old writer was going to do ( especially after a 10 hour flight)  I can't imagine .

Nevertheless they hauled him off to jail and kept him there 12 hours on suspicion of making  an anti trans tweet .
Ie men / women full stop .


During this detention his blood pressure went into orbit  and he was in stroke  territory and medical attention was required

So at long last the Met have admitted they were wrong and given him a payoff of £25k

Is that just London rate payers copping the bill or is it all taxpayers?.

Should be deducted from the Chief Constable's pension fund.

It's especially disturbing when you realise that your police force is NOT on your side .
Not only not on the side of what is right but actively biased against average heterosexual indigenous  people .
