Wow.   Bet today's modern stuff won't last that long.

I haven't got anything of my Nan's,  but I have got some of Mum's old knives,  and also a proper china plate my son had as a toddler, given to him by my Mum.   
 It has got a picture of a train in the middle,  so as he took a bit more food the train used to slowly appear.
Mum had put a note on it saying  "This plate is over 100 yrs old.  Get it valued."

My mum used to stick things on the bottom of things .'  For ..........'
I got my Granddads baccy jar he left  almost no possessions  - the sticker is there still.

I'm an only one, so our home has lots of bits from my childhood home. 1930s dishes on the dresser, some furniture, china, ornaments, glasses etc.  We used my mum's breadknife til the handle gave up the ghost.   

We live in a1930s house, so the bits are from the right era.

I've got some lovely serving plates and various glass items from my mum and my granny, I try to use them often otherwise its a shame if the  never see the light of day!

i've got a couple of teapots belonging to my Mum and her Westminster chimes clock.  I imagine when I pop my clogs everything will get skipped, my son won't be interested in keeping these things.

He said don't worry Mum I will get a skip it will only take a morning .

Seeing my look of horror he added I won't take it all to the tip some will go to the charity shop .

I've given some bits to my kids (whether they wanted them or not!).  My dad's army trunk with his name and rank is in my son's garage, and my daughter has a teaset of my mum's.

I have a lot of stuff that belonged to my mother and my grandmother, use quiet a bit especially the knifes.

Among my possessions I had a wooden chopping board that belonged to my mum..
At one time she was a smoker and the chopping board had a ciggie burn on it .. where she had rested it on ..
Terrible..I know.. But I couldn't bear to part with it..
People smoked ( openly) way back then..
Her occupation was a cook.. she made brilliant pastry..
I wonder if us kids ate a stew with a bit of ciggie ash in. 😁
