Drinking glasses

Something occurred to me this morning, I don't know why, but I suddenly remembered the drinking glasses we had in our house in the 50s and 60s, they had coloured drawings on them like maybe boats and seaside. Whereas all my glasses today are plain. Is it just me?

Have I misunderstood your post, Ashy?
How would they fix a drawstring to glass because glass is rigid?     What could they possibly tighten?   :hmm:

I remember drinks glasses with pictures on. The ones I recall were pretty small though and I think more ornamental than practical. Might even still have one and will add a picture tomorrow if I remember and can find one.
