Just received an advert/email from one of my Craft Suppliers in Cornwall - and this is the heading :-

"You may of missed this ..."

Do they not speak English in Cornwall?

Does no-one proof read things before publishing them?

Makes me cross - which is not good in a heat wave - so I will just leave this here:-

AARRGGHHH !

But why do they not know better, Michael - is English no longer part of the school curriculum?

I do have proper glasses, Vlad, and it has to be Schweppes - with lots of ice!

What annoys me more is when you hear people  (usually the younger ones),  who keep saying the word  'like'  about 10 times in a sentence.  It drives me nuts.

The other type of speech I abhor,  is those that  'bovver'  instead of bother,  and 'fought' and 'fink' instead of 'thought' and 'think'  etc.

I know not everyone went to posh schools,  and that is not their fault,  but a lot of this is nothing to do with schooling,  its just because its trendy.
