This awful heat

We do lose a lot by leakage .
It is very hard to get a totally leak proof reservoir .
Dams themselves leak .
It's very difficult to contain water.

It's 32 degrees here now

I don't know if others had an email from their electricity company today,  but I did,  and it  explained about so many people running cooling fans, and air -con etc,  and it's  putting a big burden on the electric company's equipment.
Then they went on to say not to open our freezers,  fridges, and check if any medications need to be kept cool.
And finally they gave us an emergency  number to ring incase our electricity all conks out.
Just seen we've also got a 'Severe'  heat warning her for tomorrow too now.

Dear oh dear.   First the water running out,  then threatened food shortages,  and now the electrics on the blink!     We might as well all snuff it now and stop inconveniencing all these big companies!

More on this extraordinary heat.
It says in Norfolk last month,   it reached 38°.     That is 106f as we used to call it.  Quite extraordinary for the UK,  isn't it.

You may well laugh,  but I have a feeling this is all leading up to something.

I only use grid energy for charging between 2am and 5am and very little then these days. I signed up anyway. My system will be exporting over part of that period as will anybody else on the Octopus Flux tariff if they've set their automations up properly to do so as that pays a high rate for any export between 4pm and 7pm.

How is  Mungo coping?

We walk him early in the morning or later in the evening but not this evening it's still too hot.He spends the day in the garage which has a door open to the back garden .
He likes it because it has a concrete floor which is cool but of an evening he lies on what's left of our lawn .Ie a yellow patch of dried grass . He is free to go where he likes so he lies there and listens to the noises of the night.
But he copes pretty well if we walk near the river he likes to go in for a cooling paddle .
