I'm used to it already.

Yes,  probably.

I was reading yesterday that further up country  (I've forgotten where)  they  built a new 3 million pound reservoir to help -   but its almost empty already!

£3 million doesn't sound much for a reservoir. Probably one of the directors had a swimming pool installed.

Here you are Klondie,  its in Suffolk.
I can't open the article properly because its one of those that want me to pay for the pleasure.

Mega-reservoir runs dry after a year

The Telegraph

3 days ago — Mega-reservoir runs dry after a year. Elveden Estate says it will struggle to support its farmland now that the £3m basin is almost empty.

That's not a reservoir it's just a puddle in a field. Or was. Now it's just a dip in a field. Proper reservoirs cost in the billions not the millions.

With all the extra people in the country now,  plus these scorching summers too,   they will very soon be regretting not building more reservoirs before now.

My guess is,  apart from the money they will have to find,  I reckon they will also soon realise that with all this frantic house building they're doing,   they will one day find  yet another housing estate has been stuck  right where they needed to dig.

They can't keep building, and building over all the countryside,   with no extra water supplies.

Yes, same here Scrumps.
It's gone on too long now,  hasn't it.

Just bathed my two pooches.  They were not amused, neither of them are speaking to me now.
Out in the sunshine,  they were completely dry within about 5 mins.
I need to change the blade on my clippers and get started on the next part of the job now.
