It's supposed to be getting up to 29 - 30° again from tomorrow.

They were saying on the news today that the heatwaves we had during May & June this year, killed 2,750 people in the UK.

But I still think this part makes sense:

All that is doubtless true but the numbers they produced are still based on calculations based on their study aka guesswork not from counting causes of death on death certificates. Not that they would be accurate either as hearts attacks strokes etc. all occur in the dead of winter too and I suspect very few mention heat as a factor at all.

Just discovered that there will be a short respite on August 12th when a partial 90% solar eclipse will be visible from the UK. Most sun covered for GB since the 1999 eclipse.

If you miss it the next one is in 2090. I'll put up a post to remind you all of that one nearer the day.
