In announcing that he would be stepping down as Labour leader and PM by the start of the summer recess in mid-July Starmer added he would also give his successor "my full and unequivocal support, knowing that they will inherit a Britain that is far stronger and fairer than the one I inherited two years ago"

I do feel a bit for him ( I don't know why )

I do too...and I really can't see anyone new doing any better, unless of course they've got loads of experience in the role, which they haven't.
