I have decided to come out.

Having done much soul searching, and meditation, I have decided to come out. I know that many of you will have suspected this for a long time now, if you have seen me wearing a raincoat and sitting in a bus shelter, or pulling my basket on wheels after a morning's shopping, but I think it is only right and proper and to be fair to everyone if I make this public declaration. I am an old codger.

I'm getting there..
I do not count out my coins at the checkout.. yet.
However I do not do reverse parking in car parks..
I always arrive very early for my appointments..
... 'I remember when' is something I say often and 'Things were better back when I was young'.
Those around me seem so much younger.. 
Doctors ..Police and Teachers don't look old enough to be out on their own..

There's a very good reason for that in both our cases. 

I remember when I first felt old. 

I was showing a sweet young thing in her early twenties how to debug a problem in her mainframe program and she asked "How do you know all this stuff". I don't think I actually answered but if I had and was truthful it would have been - because I was doing this before you were born

It's when people start speaking to you in a bright  cheerful voice you have worry !

I'm already an old codgeress! I have a shopping trolley, it's great. I love my bus pass.  I'm embracing the status Ashy!

My lad has fixed up one of those grip handles by the back door as the step is quite high.   So that's it then, this is officially and old person's house.
