I virtually never have a radio on. Odd I suppose as I know so many do and all I need do is ask Alexa.

Yeah,  but does she sing to you when you come in to an empty house?
And does she read amusing letters from listeners, or read you a nice story?  

At least with a radio you can choose what station you want, and don't have to keep prompting it to bring it to life.

You can just tell Alexa to play a named station and it will play it till you tell it to stop. No real need for radio these days if you have an internet connection and a smart speaker.

My radio is Alexa... I do not tune her in.. Just ask her to ..
She tells me if it will rain.. She tells me what cm.. mm.. are in ft and inches..
She tells me loads of stuff.. Not always the truth about the weather though..
