I read that the head of the Monster Raving Loonies is writing to them too especially as he is standing personally and hoping for their first seat. He explained that he stands just as much chance as Restore and in truth I have to agree.

Quote from: muddy on June 05, 2026, 06:58:01 AMThe studio audience seemed to be full of lefties who clapped mindlessly at everything Sarah Wakefield ( who is clearly off her trolley ) said .
Apart from that a party political broadcast on behalf of Andy Burnham who stated openly he wants to be PM .
Fiona Bruce is so smug and biased like some bossy headmistress .
BBCs front woman with all its faults .

BBC studio audiences are always comprised of Lefties.  I have often wondered why that might be.  Is it because the BBC is distinctly Left Wing?  Do the Lefties support the BBC as a consequence?  Or, perhaps, does the BBC invite only known Lefties to form their audience?

All rhetorical questions, of course!

Did anyone watch Laura Kuenssberg this morning?
The contrast between her interviews with David Lammy and Zia Yusuf could hardly have been more obvious and sickening.
Lammy was treated with kid gloves. Soft questions, plenty of room to explain himself, and very little challenge. At times it felt less like a political interview and more like an employee interviewing the boss. In my opinion, that's exactly what she was doing. Interviewing her boss albeit a totally brainless boss.
Then came Zia Yusuf. The tone changed completely. Aggressive interruptions, repeated attempts to pin blame on Nigel Farage for the unrest in Southampton, and a clear determination to reinforce the government's preferred narrative.
To his credit, Yusuf pushed back very strongly. He argued that public anger following the murder of Henry Nowak was not caused by Reform UK, but by years of policies that have led many people to believe police authorities are more concerned with protecting ethnic sensitivities than treating everyone equally under the law. Unfortunately for Laura, despite her expensive multi university education, she is absolutely no intellectual match for Zia. He very fairly and squarely put her back in her institutionalised box.
Whether you agree with Reform or not, BBC political interviews should be conducted with the same standard for everyone. What viewers saw this morning was not impartial scrutiny, but two very different approaches depending on who was sitting in the chair. It was blatantly obvious.
The BBC constantly tells us it is impartial. Interviews like these are exactly why so many people no longer believe it. What the BBC don't quite get yet is that the people are sick and tired of being taken for fools. Along with all their endless, @perverted scandals, millions are no longer paying the license and their days are surely numbered.
