Scrumpy

My mate had her bag stolen when shopping in Sainsbury's..
It was in her trolly.. She insists that she could see it all the time..
She lost her phone.. with pics of her children.. A little gift from her mum given to her 60 years ago..
She has no home phone..
She had to buy a new phone to contact others.. All her contacts were on the phone..
Sainsbury's had  a look on their cctv camera.. It showed nothing of interest.. However they did say that they do not have cameras in the fruit and veg isles..
I guess the thieves know this and concentrate on that area..

I always use a crossover bag with the bag to the front.. I don't think I have a handbag..
Don't ask me.. I know nuffink..

I had to google  'crossover bag.'       (I don't get out much do I).

That must have been awful for your friend, Scrumps.   It's the personal stuff that is often irreplaceable, isn't it.     I detest these chancers.
Sounds like they knew about the missing cameras in that part of the shop, maybe they do it regularly.

I wonder how she will put all her contacts back on the new phone though,  because she won't know their numbers, will she?   I would never remember mobile numbers, they're too long.

I know how I felt once when I had my bag stolen somewhere between the checkout and the car park.
I had just paid,  and was walking to my car,  but when I got to the car my bag had gone.
What hurt me most was losing a beautiful picture of my soul-mate German Shepherd dog who had only just died.
(That is him in my avatar).

I found out from the Police later, that the thief had gone straight to the cash machine in Tesco's car park,  but had got one digit wrong on my pin number,  so couldn't steal my money.
They reckoned its these people who stand around near the check-outs pretending to be waiting for their families,  but really they are watching us putting our pin number in at the tills.  Then all they've got to do is get your card,  which with me - they did.     Bastards.

Most modern phones get backed up automatically to the cloud. With any luck using the same account on a new phone will get them all recovered. Assuming she knows the account password of course
