I didn't think storms could strike a plane once in the air - always thought lightning had to be grounded.  Hmm - supposed to be flying home in September for an early October wedding.  Maybe I'll book a ferry passage instead!

Shortly after a British Airways flight had reached its cruising altitude the captain announced, "Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. Welcome to flight 293 non-stop from London Heathrow to Toronto. The weather is good and we should have a smooth, uneventful flight. So sit back, relax and..."

"Oh my God!"
The plane swerved left and then right, then up and then down, then bounced up and down a few more times before smoothing out.

Silence followed and the passengers waited there to hear what happened next.

Some moments later, the captain came back on the intercom. "Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. I'm sorry if I scared you. Whilst I was talking to you, the flight attendant accidentally spilled a cup of coffee on my lap. You should see the front of my trousers."

One passenger yelled from the back, For f***'s sake, you should see the back of mine!
