Oh no !!!

We had the loudest clap of thunder and lightning last week.. Just one strike.. The thunder sound was deafening..
We later learned that the lightning hit a plane at Gatwick nearby.. and it was forced to land..
It is on video.. 
 My worse fears when flying..
I do not enjoy flying.. never have.. Though i have flown far and wide.. I fear it..

I have only ever flown once,  many years ago  -  well twice if you count the return journey.  
There was a storm when we flew,   scary stuff indeed.

I have never flown since.  I am not much of a traveller really.

Rough turbulence and heavy landings are no fun but they are as nothing  compared to that damned cross channel hovercraft. Once on that was more than enough for a lifetime. Return ticket used on the ferry instead.

I'm a little bit nervous but have only experienced really bad turbulence once, we had to circle New York for what seemed like an age.  The stewardess was sick !  it was that bad 

I've never been on a Hovercraft, didn't fancy that at all !     North sea ferry to Rotterdam could be a bit worrying !
