You can say that again. I still have nightmares about the one I went out on during a holiday in Snowdonia. I think the riding school enjoyed the laugh. Damned thing's name was Grotty and it sure as hell was. They had to get a big step ladder out before I could even get on it. I swear I still get twinges from that day. I could hardly walk for two after it.

First time I sat on a Clydesdales back I was 3 years old. I was out at the farm with dad and he'd sat me up on a gate while he talked to the farmer. The Clyde there was lovely and I enjoyed making friends, then the farmer lifted me up onto it's back and I held onto it's mane while he walked us round the field.
