Scrumpy

I am going for a RSV vaccine.. My doctor has offered it to me..
It helps protects lungs and stuff..
I have thought hard about the Covid jabs.. I have just had one and it made me feel a bit poorly.
To be quite honest ,I have never felt 100% well since first having the jab..
I have decided that I will not be having any more..
I am hoping that the RSV vaccine will give me enough protection..

So many viruses out there.. What about the cruise ship problem..!! I wouldn't go on a cruise again..
It is not safe out there..
Don't ask me.. I know nuffink..

I saw two elderly ladies in the street yesterday both wearing heavy duty covid masks. I recall back in the day often seeing people driving their cars wearing them. People worry far too much and IMO held far too much faith in crappy bits of paper and cloth that almost certainly did very little.

When I had my first jab a pretty old probably ex-nurse dragged out of retirement directing people around the centre made a comment I don't recall exactly (first step to heaven or similar and I'm pretty sure she didn't mean it was going to kill me) which I took to mean she thought the jab and follow up booster was going to offer immunity.
I think most did myself included.
Then it transpired that they didn't give immunity and the story became stop spread. When it was found they didn't it became lessens the severity - something impossible to prove.
Certainly the twice I caught it were both what I class as pretty mild. The cough was the worst bit and did make my chest ache a bit first time around but less the second. Those vaccinations were rushed through. The Astra Zeneca one was withdrawn. Pfizer were found to have falsified efficacy data in  their trials.

I don't think any yet have had full approval. Yet still the boosters get pushed. A conspiracy theorist might think that one good reason for that would be to obscure the possibility that most of the measures were rushed through in a panic, produced next to no benefit and are proven to have had serious adverse effects on many right up to killing people and the financial impact on the economy is still being felt now. Along with millions now thinking sitting on their arses is far preferable to a minimum wage. Of course not being a conspiracy theorists I wouldn't say that as I have no proof at all. Just suspicions.

I do know that at the time I collected a lot of public NHS and ONS statistics and it was clear to me from collating and processing them with some simple automated scripts that few who were not old with pre-existing conditions were actually dying. Some did of course but the percentage was very low in all the lower age brackets with no pre-existing conditions.

Darn good post, Klondie,  and I agree with everything you've said.

That cursed Astra Zeneca  certainly ruined me and I firmly believe countries stopped buying it for good reason.
I also firmly believe a lot is known to people behind the scenes, which has not allowed to become public knowledge because of fear of compensation claims.

Money is what it's about unfortunately.  Just money.
I have always believed they made more than they ever thought possible from those early vaccines,  so why should it matter to them if a few people snuffed it along the way.

I know for sure that my dizzy spells started within 24 hours of having that first (and only) Astra Zeneca vacc,  and I was carted away in an ambulance.   It has never stopped recurring since.
It is also well known that many people suffered with blood clots after that vaccine too.

Not had the Covid one for 3 years now.
Didn't get the flu one last year as it was due when I was in Edinburgh for my heart op, and I was in no condition to go and get it after I was sent home. Never felt so ill in my life as I did then.

Alex

I'm offered the RSV vaccine regularly, I've told them I don't want it but I guess they're automatic text messages.
I had 3 Covid vaccines but the more I read, the less I was convinced.  So no jabs at all for me, we each have to decide what's best for us.

I took the RSV and do take the flu jab. I don't have adverse reactions and they may do some good.. The COVID one I don't. If it mutates and becomes a threat I might but I'm not keen on being an unpaid and unmonitored lab rat.

muddy

I have never taken the flu jab
But I kept getting invites for the RSV
I keep thinking what the heck I have to die of something and have already passed the three score and ten mark .

GrannyMac

I've had jabs for pneumonia, RSV and I usually have the flu jab.  Not had the Covid one for a couple of years. I had Covid early on, was quite ill, I needed steroids to clear it.
Its not how old you are, but how you are old. 💖
