Ironing

I don't as a rule iron anything at all .
However I have a lot of linen clothes that get creased very quickly .
I usually wash them and hang up straight away once dry and relatively crease free .

But yesterday I decided to iron them .
Believe it or not I had forgotten how to make the iron work .
I am sure steam used to come out more easily .

Still that's that for another few years perhaps forever

I do iron my Tshirts and also give my trousers a quick rub over if they are very creased,  but I am not a great one for ironing.
I don't iron my bedding anymore these days either.

I've heard of some 'fanatics'  who iron all their undies,  towels,  and even socks!!

I have got more enjoyable things to do outside than fiddle about ironing socks!

Anything I wear is creased up within the hour so it may as well start out creased. If something always looks terrible after being washed and hung up it only gets worn at home.

I iron pillowslips. I like them crisp. Any bit of clothing that needs it, thats not many these days. 😁
Its not how old you are, but how you are old. 💖

I don't even have an ironing board...
If something has to be ironed I lay a folded sheet down on the landing.. Get out the iron and give the item a quick going over.. Sorted..
Don't ask me.. I know nuffink..

You must be able to get up and down easily then. Impressed.

I no longer iron anything. When my DiL needed a new ironing board, I gave her mine.
I'm never out, and my bedding, etc., gets a good shake and folded by my cleaner when
it comes out of the dryer.

I hate ironing, so not much gets done here.  I used to iron pillowcases too, but now I just fold them,  after all, there's only me sees them

If it wasn't just you then I doubt the creases in the pillowcase would figure very high in their thoughts.
