Interesting fact .

St George is buried in Lod near Tel Aviv Israel .

Quote from: muddy on Yesterday at 06:13:26 PMHow I wonder do they justify that , how can a flag be a hazard to health and safety ?
It was a tongue in cheek suggestion not a statement of fact. That said let me invent...

Distraction to traffic causing a multiple pile up.

May not be securely fastened and could come loose in high winds and cover a bus windscreen causing it to crash into the ground floor of a tower block of flats exploding into flames and killing all bus and flat occupants.

May give the local community leader a heart attack.

Plus what on earth makes you think a local council has to justify anything?

I suppose they don't .
But it seem weird to me that the flag of England is so despised that local councils remove it when there are swathes of " Palestinian " flags shoved in public views every weekend .
The flag of a country that doesn't actually exist( even if our deluded PM thinks it does ) and represents a group that have advocated terrorism throughout the world .

It's about time we showed our own colours
The Union Flag at the very least should IMO be flown from every school and government building in the country .

I think I may have said before; we now live in a very divided country.

An increasing number of illegal immigrants, being looked after in style.
An increasing number of trendy young white people who won't work, but object about everything.
An incompetent government and civil service which looks after the above.

Sadly, I'm afraid that nothing will change until 2029, even if TwoTier is kicked out tomorrow.
We shall just have to live with it.

Probably only Labour councils (or Green these days) but I may be wrong.
