I never get involved in Politics as a rule,  but I saw something in todays Daily Mirror which was rather alarming.
It reckons Putin is planning to bomb four places in the UK to teach us a lesson for  helping Ukraine.
It said it will most likely be London,  Leicester, Reading,  and some American air base here.

Putins Submarines have been spotted lurking about in our seas too,  and they reckon he is seeking out where we have under water cables.

I have never understood why some men have so much twisted hatred inside them.   It's like a health problem they have,  and frightening.

I think Russia have more than enough problems in Ukraine than to be stupid enough to bomb a NATO member.

There are millions of Russisn bots posting BS on social media not to mention drunks like Medvedev who is on a par with Trump for posting militant garbage.

Putin's Subs are lurking in the waters beside us, according to the News . Lately I've often seen The Navys Destroyers when at Dunnet or Thurso beaches. They're over near Orkney too.

I agree.. Russia is too busy elsewhere then to start problems with the UK..

If they staring bombing US air bases in the UK they would have the US and Trump to deal with..
They couldn't afford that..
Russia has spent millions and lost millions in the Ukraine (war)..
Even it's people are fed up with it all..
As for snooping around our shores !!!.. they have always done this..
Don't ask me.. I know nuffink..

This is why I don't usually read this sort of stuff in the newspapers,  'cos it worries me.

As Raven pointed out the Russians do spy out undersea cables and some in the Mediterranean have been damaged but I think the culprits there were commercial vessels dragging their anchors and it was the Chinese who got the blame.

Weak politicians ride on the backs of an external enemy. I don't believe our politicians would defend us against Russia, in any case they can apparently take out anyone they want without using bombs.

Why do you way that, Ashy?

I shouldn't think we've got much weaponry left anyway, we've been sending it all to Ukraine for the last few years.

The real problem is that the Tories and Labour, ever since Maggie was stabbed in the back, have been pretty much ignoring our national defence and we now have very little with which to defend ourselves.

On the plus side, looking at the state of our country now, filled to the seams with the third world, I can't imagine that Russia or anyone else for that matter might want to take our country.  I suppose that, at least, it is an effective form of deterrence!
