As to the 'puffing of chests and charging'  bit - reminds me of Trump.   :grin:

My daughter in law has reported the birds have all gone!  No sign of any casualties so 🤞🏼they're flying happily somewhere.

Lots about. I was going to say very common but it's probably more that they are distinctive and seem less wary of people than many other birds.
