As to the 'puffing of chests and charging'  bit - reminds me of Trump.

My daughter in law has reported the birds have all gone!  No sign of any casualties so 🤞🏼they're flying happily somewhere.

When birds fledge they are soon gone. Unlike the offspring of our species

Our offspring have increasingly limited places to go .
