New life in a cardboard box in my son's garage.  Hope they grow to look like my avatar!

Let's hope. Robins can pick some very odd places to nest. They've used some ivy that goes over a wall in my gardening the past.

I have nest boxes but customers are rare. Somebody, I assume the council, put up a few bat and nest boxes on the spindly trees along a pathway I use quite regularly recently. No idea about the bat boxes but at least one of the next boxes appears to be in use.

They're well hidden at the moment. My granddaughter has been taking sneaky pics, of the eggs, then the chicks.  Both parents seem to be in attendance.

How lovely, Granny.

Trouble is,  while they were eggs they were silent.   Now they will be making a noise,  so I hope they manage to  stay safe from predators.

What sort of birds are the parents?
Good luck babies.

Robins Mups.  They got into the garage through a small gap in the eaves, hopefully they'll stay safe til they can fly 🤞🏼.

Oh,  sorry Granny.  I somehow missed that bit before!

What a lovely photo !   I too hope they stay safe in the garage, are they high up  GM ?

GrannyMac

They're in a box on a shelf AFAIK.  I've been away for a few days, will find out how they're doing and update.  Fingers crossed they're ok.

Robins are known for nesting in odd places. They are still quite common birds so it must work.

His garage could be described as odd.  Lots of random stuff for 'projects' and not very organised. They spotted the adults going in under the eaves, then saw the nest, and my granddaughter, who is home for the (long) Easter break has been keeping an eye on the eggs, and now the babies.

My Robins nest in my big Spyria bush each year. Wee hopefuls too, they watch the back door and each time I come out to the garden they fly down to see if I'm going to feed them.
