That story makes for some unpleasant reading and I only got as far as the charges. We'll be paying his upkeep for years I imagine. Hopefully the sentence will be curtailed by prisoners.

There is a case for bringing back CP for heinous cases like this .
We should not rely on prisoners to mete out justice .

And when he says 'guilty'.. he means guilty..

They're lawyers will probably say they were suffering with depression, or they were of unsound mind etc.    
Personally,  I am quite sure some people are just born evil and it develops more the older they get.

That is not enough for me.  I am definitely in favour of the restoration of hanging for cases of murder.
If you look at the number of murders before and after the date that hanging was discontinued, there is a definite rise in murders after the abolition.
And I really don't give a toss about the whingeing do-gooders.  We can hang them as well!
