That's a beautiful tree  :upvote: but I always thought it was poisonous for animals and people

Yes, you are right, Alex.
All parts of a Laburnum tree are poisonous both to us, and the animals.
Pity,  because they look pretty when they are in flower.

Raven

Yes I know they are but the tree was here before me, I just kept the dogs away from it. Both Pashka and Dageus never went near it, both liked the big fern to keep cool under.

Well that's the  Spiraea out now and the tree is in full bloom too I'm quite annoyed with the Snowball Bush I bought last October, I kept it in the greenhouse over Winter as it was just a twig when I got it, now the white balls are out but they are too heavy for the thin branches and are drooping almost to the ground  :boo:  really worried they will break, I tried it up to a stake too.

Thankyou 🙂 Dageus usually lay under it, that fern is more than double the size from the photo now. Don't know how it got there as I didn't plant it but I left it and now I love it.

I have a shrub near my front door.. I didn't plant it..
It produces black coloured (edible) berries..
In the winter I put lights on her..
Don't ask me.. I know nuffink..

There are quite a few daisy types. There's one type my wife always called bum daisies for a very good reason.

Lovely pictures Scrumps.  Like the Scarecrows.  Have they got names?

I reckon those daisies look like what I call  'Shasta Daisy's'.
Mine get to about nearly knee-high  and form quite nice big clumps.

I also have some called 'Crazy Daisy'  (or Superbum)  which are lovely and have edges which look like they have been cut with pinking shears,  all sort of tatty, but very pretty.

Every year my scarecrows have different names ..
Bert and Betty this year.. They look over my decking ..
I replace them as they grow too old..
My daises grow fairly tall.. They started off with just a small clump an old lady gave me years ago.. I thin them out and replant them..I now have daises in front and back garden..

Can't get the picture any smaller,  but these are the 'crazy daisies.'   (not my plants).
